MEA now offers technical auto training over the internet. This is in addition to our normal night time class calender.
How this will work in is that you will LISTEN to the class on your TELEPHONE, and you will SEE the
class on your COMPUTER from home or work. These classes will be 30 minutes in length. Some courses will air
at Lunchtime (from Noon to 12:30), and the other courses will air in the evening 8:00 PM - 8:30 PM.
The class will be live, and you will be able to type in questions during the presentation.
This is our first step to automotive internet training, support it and it will grow!
THIS MONTH THERE ARE 3 ALL NEW INTERNET WEBINAR TOPICS!
Internet CLASS 1 P0401 - Testing and Diagnosis
Wednesday July 9th Lunchtime 12:00 NOON - 12:30 PM AND
Tuesday July 22nd Evening 8:00 - 8:30 PM
GM P0401 Insufficent EGR flow. This code can be one of the most difficult to diagnose because often the
code is set, but the EGR "appears" to be working perfectly. This can be even more confusing when dealing
with an electronic EGR valve such as the ones used on GM Vortecs. This course will cover operation and
testing of the GM linear EGR system, including an exclusive MEA test for clogged EGR ports.
Internet CLASS 2 Air Conditioning - Temperature VS Pressure
Lunchtime Course Wednesday July 23rd from 12:00 NOON - 12:30
With system capacities reaching and all time low, sometimes pressure gauges alone are not enough to
accurately determine if an AC system is working correctly. A system that is undercharged by as little as
10% on a 1lb. system can cause compressor failure, as well as poor system performance. This course will
look at the good bad and ugly of temperature vs. pressure testing and explain how you may want to add
temp testing to help you diagnose any AC problem.
Internet CLASS 3 OTC and Snap-On Scanners - Ford Mode 6 Misfire
Evening Course Wednesday July 30th 8:00-8:30pm
Finding a misfire on a Ford can be a tough task. Often there is no code to identify the misfire, even though
you can feel the engine missing. There are also no "misfire counters" that you can watch on your most
popular scanners. This course will show you how to use "mode 6" in your scan tool to easily find the misfiring
cylinder. If you are not using Mode 6 on Fords to find a misfire, you are working too hard!. Find out how
to do this with both an OTC scanner (or MAC Mentor, Matco Determinator) and Snap On Scanner
(or Modis, or Solus) in this effective webinar.
