MEA now offers technical auto training over the internet. This is in addition to our normal night time class calender.
How this will work in is that you will LISTEN to the class on your COMPUTER SPEAKERS OR you can
CALL IN and listen over your TELEPHONE, CELLPHONE or SPEAKERPHONE. You will SEE the
class on your COMPUTER from home or work. These classes will be 30-60 minutes in length. Some courses will air
at Lunchtime (from Noon to 12:30), some are in the Morning from 8:00-8:30 AM
and the other courses will air in the evening 8:00 PM - 8:30 PM, or 8:00 - 9:00 PM.
The class will be live, and you will be able to type in questions during the presentation.
This is our first step to automotive internet training, support it and it will grow!

Ford climate control has had it's share of problems. One of the main problems is the lack of Heat. Covered will be accessing codes from the system, testing the blend door actuator and determining if it's blend actuator problem or a broken blend door.

Honda has been using this type of Air fuel ratio sensor on different applications for 10 years. Improper diagnosis of these types of O2 sensors is very common because of a misunderstanding of how they operate. One of the biggest differences vs a conventional O2 sensor is that the PCM looks at current to determine air/fuel mixture. Lean Air Fuel sensors are designed to provide feedback of the air/fuel mixtures at a much wider range of lean or rich conditions than conventional O2 sensors. Knowing if it is an LAF or a conventional O2 completely changes how testing is performed. Like with all MEA webinars complete operation and testing of all circuits involved will be covered in detail.

Catalytic converter efficiency codes P0420, P0421, P0430, and P0431 are one of the most common OBDII Codes; They are also a very common COMEBACK code because “the check engine light is on again.” This course will show you how to properly identify and diagnose the areas that cause repeated attempts to eliminate these codes. Information will be given on how to maximize your scanner, voltmeters and lab scopes when performing catalytic converter diagnoses and testing. Some example of methods to be applied, Frequency and Amplitude comparisons, Active Air/Ratio Control, Vacuum Delay/Oxygen Storage Testing and others.

This class will test coils, ASD relay as well as spark testing techniques. This is a must attend for technicians of all levels.
