Internet CLASS 2 Honda 4 Wire Lean Air Fuel Ratio Sensor
Evening Course Thursday October 9th 8:00 PM to 8:30 PM
Honda has been using this type of Air fuel ratio sensor on different applications for 10 years. Improper diagnosis of these types of O2 sensors is very common because of a misunderstanding of how they operate. One of the biggest differences vs a conventional O2 sensor is that the PCM looks at current to determine air/fuel mixture. Lean Air Fuel sensors are designed to provide feedback of the air/fuel mixtures at a much wider range of lean or rich conditions than conventional O2 sensors. Knowing if it is an LAF or a conventional O2 completely changes how testing is performed. Like with all MEA webinars complete operation and testing of all circuits involved will be covered in detail.
Internet CLASS 3 VW and Audi MAF and Adaptive Fuel Diagnosis
Evening Course Wednesday October 15th, 8:00 PM to 8:30 PM
Many technicians have changed these MAF Sensors because of their high failure rate. This MEA webinar will show you how to identify the differences between first and second generation types. Specifications are not the same between the two. Voltmeter and labscope testing of all wires and circuits. Using your scanner to ID failures very quickly will also be covered. Come and learn how to use Measuring Block 032 in data stream to determine if the MAF is good or bad. As with all MEA webinars, the goal is to help shorten your diagnostic time and come up with the proper diagnosis.
Internet CLASS 4 OTC & Snap-On Scanner Ford Mode 6 Misfire Diagnosis
Lunchtime Course Thursday October 16th from 12:00 NOON - 12:30
Finding a misfire on a Ford can be a tough task. Often there is no code to identify the misfire, even though you can feel the engine missing. There are also no "misfire counters" that you can watch on your most popular scanners. This course will show you how to use "mode 6" in your scan tool to easily find the misfiring cylinder. If you are not using Mode 6 on Fords to find a misfire, you are working too hard!. Find out how to do this with both an OTC scanner (or MAC Mentor, Matco Determinator) and Snap On Scanner (or Modis, or Solus) in this effective webinar.
Internet CLASS 5 GM Passkey II Anti Theft Systems
Lunchtime Course Tuesday October 28th, from 12:00 NOON - 12:30
This MEA Webinar will look at the most common failures of the GM Passkey II system. Learn how high failure GM theft system works and how to diagnosis it. Also the procedures to Re-Learn the system after repairs or when keys are lost. Pass key I and Pass Key III will also be highlighted as well as the evolution of GM anti-theft. Don't miss it!!
Internet CLASS 6 GM 6.6 Duramax Diesel Injector Failure Diagnosis
Evening Course Thursday October 29th, 8:00 PM to 8:30 PM
One of the most common failures for driveability problems on these engines, are the high voltage injectors. The most common complaint is the vehicle runs with a mis-fire. Unlike gas engine applications, most of the time there are known codes on Diesels to help you ID what cylinder is the problem. Properly diagnosing the problems associated with injector failures can be made easier by attending this MEA webinar. 1st and 2nd generation types will be covered. 92 volt and 48 volt description and operation. How to interpret balancing rates with your scanner to come up with a quick diagnosis. Bi-directional output control for power balance testing will also be included.
