MEA’s TOP-TECH College offers the student the most unique training and support system in the country. Unlike other automotive training which gives a student an overview of systems, TOP-TECH specializes in helping the student become an Advanced Engine Performance and Electronics specialist, the most rewarding position in the automotive repair field. In order to give our students the specialized training and attention needed to become truly successful, only 20 students will be accepted into our TOP-TECH College program.

All of our programs incorporate classroom lecture, hands-on training, telephone diagnostic assistance, and on-site vehicle troubleshooting with our instructors out in the field.

The 10-month program consists of 3 days of classroom/lab instruction coupled with 2 days of working in a MEA approved repair facility. Each subject that is dealt with on campus is immediately followed by related work experience in the work place. This rotation continues until the program is completed. The main responsibility of the MEA approved repair facility is to supervise the practical experiences and to provide employment for the student during the work experience periods. Students are paid during the mandatory work requirement.

Requirements for admission to MEA’s TOP-TECH COLLEGE:

If you are thinking of applying to MEA’s TOP-TECH COLLEGE it is important to have a clear understanding of the admissions criteria. Admissions are based on the strength of the applicant’s high school background, including the record of academic achievement, general aim of courses selected, and special or unique accomplishments both in and out of the classroom. Automotive experiences, whether academic or other organization, is strongly recommended. The following are general admissions requirements. It is important to understand that decisions are made on an individual basis. No specific class rank, grade point average, test score, or other qualification by itself will assure or deny admissions.

Applicant is required to be at least 17 years old as of the cirriculum start date.
Prior education minimum – High School graduate (or have acquired a G.E.D. Diploma).
An official transcript or equivalent document with your high school or college grade point average and graduation date must be provided.
Pass a written basic skills test.

TOP-TECH COLLEGE tuition costs:

MEA’s TOP-TECH COLLEGE program is an intensive 10 month program that consists of 3 days( 25 hr. per week) classroom/lab instruction coupled with 2 days (16 hr. per week) “mentored “ work study program. Also included is unlimited evening training at no extra cost.

Tuition is $10,000. The program is divided into two semesters. The tuition for the first semester $5,000 is due by July 3rd. Tuition for the second semester is due by February 1st.

Mandatory books, class materials and uniforms are included in tuition costs. All tuition costs, admission fees, tools, and optional textbooks are the responsibility of the student. Students may select any brand of tools, but an educational discount will be available on the most popular professional brands.
